Welcome

My name is Nathalia Hurt. I am a fully qualified teacher with over 25 years experience in education. I have taught across a variety of key stages over those years, and for the last 10 years have worked in a specialist SEN setting.  This has given me extensive experience and knowledge around working with Autistic learners and learners with ADHD. 

I enjoy working with students of all ages, and specialise in working with individuals on achieving their goals in the way that works best for them.

I am a fully qualified teacher with extensive experience in working with students aged between 5 and 19. I have particular experience and strength in working on planning and delivering individualised schemes of work with a learner's specific needs and goals in mind. 

I have a degree in English and Theology, and a PGCE in primary education.

I can help students reach personal educational goals, and have strong knowledge in the following areas:

  • Phonics (in line with Read Write Ink and Fresh Start)

  • Maths and English Functional Skills (Entry Level 1 to Level 2)

  • English Language and Literature GCSE

  • Primary literacy and Numeracy

  • Creative Writing

  • Skills for Working Life
